The Skills Academy are able to provide specialised training in a broad range of Manual Metal Arc welding processes to include; MIG/MAG (Metal Inert/Active Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MMA (Manual Metal Arc), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) welding processes in a range of materials to meet the requirements of various welder qualification standards. 

 

The Skills Academy has also achieved the status of a ‘ Certified Organisation’ under the Certification Scheme for Welding Training Organisations (CSWTO) by TWI Certification Ltd CL (TWI CL). Currently Wales's only TWI CL certified training and testing organisation.

 

All of our instructors, examiners and inspectors at The Skills Academy hold the relevant CSWIP qualifications, allowing us to provide welder qualification testing to the highest of standards to include BS EN ISO 9606-1, BS EN ISO 9606-2, ASME IX, BS 4872-1 and BS 4872-2 welder qualification testing and examination.

 

The Certification Scheme for Welder Training Organisations (CSWTO) provides quality assurances that ‘Certified Organisations’ such as The Skills Academy are able to demonstrate that their establishments have the facilities needed to deliver the highest level of training, and produce personnel that are suitably competent and qualified to meet industry requirements. 

 

‘Certified Organisations’ go through a robust independent assessment process conducted by the TWI CL, in accordance with the CSWTO requirements in order to assess that their facilities, equipment, teaching materials, processes and procedures meet best practice, providing quality assurances to Certified Organisations clients and learners in their ability to deliver welder training to the highest of standards.
